Title:
gnome-keyboard-properties should have an easy to switch gtk2 input
  methods

Status in GTK+:
  Unknown
Status in gtk+2.0 package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Currently there is no easy way for the user to choose a default gtk2
input method, the current method is to edit a profile/bash.rc/xinit
file and add an environment variable which is not very user friendly.
The most obvious (to me) place to allow the user to select a default
input method is the keyboard properties capplet.
