I'd be very surprised if it was hardware, but I can try it. I never had this
problem on this machine until this morning's dist-upgrade.

Bug description:
Latest libnss3 upgrade have broken all the browser's queries; no
matter of which is used. For example: url auto-completion fails
ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
