[Bug 1521655] [NEW] Ubuntu web browser identified as Safari by Google sign-in notification system
Public bug reported:
This causes confusion and potential worry for the user as it's unclear
that it was the Ubuntu web browser that made the connection to Google --
at first sight it seems like it might be a third party successfully
logging into Google, as the Safari browser is not available on this
platform. If an Ubuntu related browser ID was used this problem would be
mitigated.
I received the email from Google after using the "GoogleDocs" desktop
app on Ubuntu 15.10 to access the online Google Docs application suite.
** Affects: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Attachment added: "screen shot of email from Google"
