[Bug 1521948] Re: [indicators] + [mobile] hide indicator bar when mobile devices rotate into landscape

What should the minimum height threshold be for when the indicator bar
is supposed to be hidden? I don't imagine you want to hide it on a
device like the Nexus 7, where landscape is the default orientation?

Title:
[indicators] + [mobile] hide indicator bar when mobile devices rotate
  into landscape

Status in Canonical System Image:
  New
Status in Ubuntu UX:
  Fix Committed
Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Issue:
In the current build the landscape mode is showing indicators in apps which are using it. Displaying the indicator bar takes away some screen estate, especially when the OSK is visible as well. Design and SDK are working on reducing the header hight when mobile devices are rotated into landscape but hiding indicators needs to be done system wide.

  ---------------- UX comment | desired resolution ------------------

Please ensure that if a mobile devices rotates into landscape mode the
indicator bar is hidden automatically. Indicators should be still
available by swiping from the top edge.
