  display configuration not reset when application exits

Bug description:
  With two monitors:

  $ sudo bin/mir_demo_server --window-manager system-compositor --display-config sidebyside --vt 1 --arw-file
  $ bin/mir_demo_server --host /tmp/mir_socket --display-config sidebyside
  $ bin/mir_demo_standalone_render_surfaces --no-file --host-socket /run/user/1000/mir_socket --display-config single

  render_surfaces gets focus and the display switches to the "first"
  monitor.

  Now exit render_surfaces

  Expected: display config returns to sidebyside
  Observed: display config remains single

  Now exit nested server

  Expected: display config returns to sidebyside
  Observed: display config remains single
