[Bug 1526328] Re: blank area at the bottom of the screen in full screen mode
The fact that you rotate the app and the issue goes away suggests it's
an internal gallery app bug, not a unity8 one.

There is a blank are at the bottom of the screen when a display is
full screen. The background should be entirely black. cf screenshot.
