Title:
[USB-Audio - Logitech Speaker Lapdesk N700] Volume control doesn't
work properly
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
When I try to control the speakers using Gnome's volume control, I
only have around three possible levels:
* When the slider is set to "not amplified", which is around 90%,
volume is all but muted.
* If I increase volume a notch, the volume does a quantum leap to
loud. Next notch after that and I can wake up all my neighbours.
* From 0 up to the "not amplified" notch (around 90%), sound goes from
muted to barely perceptible.
* From the "not amplified" notch to 100%, the distance is minimal.
* From 100% on, there's clipping of sound waves.
