Title:
Video player assumes square pixel format

Status in Canonical System Image:
  Confirmed
Status in mediaplayer-app package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
The video player should honour display aspect ratio metadata when
present, so that e.g. DVDs that were transcoded in the original
anamorphic format are shown correctly. Currently it assumes square
pixel content while the video scope gets it right, at least for MKV
and MP4 files produced by Handbrake.

Attached: Small anamorphic video file for testing.
