Ok so.. i have a ASUS K450J Laptop and i have had Ubuntu through the last year without any issues until now. I recently formatted my pc to fix my keyboard issue but to no avail.
  A few days ago my backspace button didn't delete and just added the character p and p button was deleting and adding the letter p. Now my backspace is deleting but not repeatedly just by the press of the button and the letter p is acting like the backspace button and still adding the character p and it added  the Page Up Button recently and I don't know why. All with the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Only when i plug in my usb keyboard it works but my built-in keyboard on the Laptop just doesn't work.
