I have installed ubuntu 15.10 and ran the solution proposed by Simone, see
below, and that worked! It is indeed a strange workaround, but it works. I
hope it'll work properly when ubuntu 16.04 arrives.
Since I don't have any Output Card listed in Audo Settings, executing
