Please note that the CardView is a custom component, and does not
destroy the cards once they are out of view, hence the smoothness you
will then get. We are migrating to use the GridView, which destroys the
cards out of view, as this will help with memory usage, performance in
general and allow us to get any new SDK parts.

The reason it is running slow is likely due to repeater being used,
which is currently being investigated in [0].
