Message #128692
[Bug 1533868] [NEW] blkid wiping enabled in config but not supported by LVM
Public bug reported:
Creating a LV outputs a notice about blkid_wiping support not being
available:
# lvcreate -n t -L1G vg0
allocation/use_blkid_wiping=1 configuration setting is set while LVM is not compiled with blkid wiping support.
Falling back to native LVM signature detection.
Logical volume "t" created.
So blkid_wiping should either be disabled in the config or support for
it should be enabled at compile time.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: lvm2 2.02.133-1ubuntu2
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.3.0-6.17-generic 4.3.3
Uname: Linux 4.3.0-6-generic x86_64
ApportVersion: 2.19.3-0ubuntu3
Architecture: amd64
CurrentDesktop: Unity
Date: Wed Jan 13 15:23:33 2016
SourcePackage: lvm2
UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)
** Affects: lvm2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
