[Bug 465841] Re: Manual ipv6 settings only work for users but not for system
This bug was marked Incomplete some time ago and was supposed to
autoclose after 90 days. I'm going to close it manually due to no
activity (and likely the issue has gone away/been fixed).
** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu)

Title:
Manual ipv6 settings only work for users but not for system
Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Using network-manager 0.8~a~git.20091013t193206.679d548-0ubuntu1 on
the "IPv6 Settings" tab I set "Method" to "Automatic, addresses only"
and set "DNS servers" manually. This works fine as long as the
"Available to all users" checkbox is unmarked. As soon as I tick the
box, the DNS servers are simply ignored and not even saved. If I re-
edit the connection the DNS servers set previously have disappeared.
When Method is set to Manual, these are the only ipv6-related lines
that get saved to corresponding /etc/NetworkManager/system-
connections/ConnectionName:
[ipv6]
method=manual
ignore-auto-routes=false
ignore-auto-dns=false
never-default=false
