Title:
apt-cdrom crashed with signal 7 in pkgCdrom::Ident()
Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: apt
This may not be a problem, but I will submit it just in case. I have
just installed Xubuntu 9.04 from the live CD and got several crash
reports.
After I clicked on install, the repartitioning seems to have worked,
but the boot loader does not. I walked away from the computer for
about an hour. When I got back, it was updating packages and got the
crash which triggered this bug report. After a few more crashed, I
tried to reboot. I had been going for a dual-boot of Windows 98 and
Xubuntu, but I do not get the choice of booting into Linux. I just
get the standared Windows 98 choices. So far, safe mode is the one
that had worked for me. Otherwise, the booting freezes, and I have to
reboot.
