Title:
changing password with passwd on encrypted home prevents gnome login
Status in shadow package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have lucid aplha 3 setup with encrypted home. I changed my password
with old and liable passwd and after that I'm not able to login to
gnome session as home decryption fails because the encryption password
is not updated and there's all sort of nasty nautilus etc errors. I
can log in via console and decrypt the home with the old password.
passwd is probably not the right place to point fingers, but IMHO
changing password using passwd should not prevent login to gnome
session.
