Title:
Wrong permissions in phablet image
Status in “system-image” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
HARDWARE=mako
JENKINS_BUILD=saucy-11
UBUNTU=ubuntu-touch-saucy-armhf
ubuntu/platform-api=:68
hybris=0.1.0+git20130606+c5d897a-0ubuntu2
I was poking around on the above unflipped image and noticed some
weird permissions. Because its unflipped, I am not going to list
everything, just ones that definitely seem wrong.
/run is currently (it should be 0755):
/run drwxrwxrwt root root
/etc is currently (it should be 0755):
/etc drwxrwxr-x root root
These files are all world-writable-- is this safe?
/dev/alog/events crw-rw-rw- root 1007
/dev/alog/main crw-rw-rw- root 1007
/dev/alog/radio crw-rw-rw- root 1007
/dev/alog/system crw-rw-rw- root 1007
/dev/ashmem crw-rw-rw- root root
/dev/binder crw-rw-rw- root root
/dev/diag crw-rw-rw- root root
/dev/genlock crw-rw-rw- system system
/dev/kgsl-3d0 crw-rw-rw- system system
/dev/qseecom crw-rw-rw- system 1026
/dev/socket/mpdecision/touchboost srw-rw-rw- root system
/dev/socket/property_service srw-rw-rw- root root
These directories have the SGID bit set, which might intentional (maybe because of the lack of full-udev?) for controlling ownership of the files in these directories, but I think it is worth bringing up:
/dev/socket/mpdecision drwxrws--- system system
/dev/socket/qmux_audio drwxrws--- 1013 audio
/dev/socket/qmux_bluetooth drwxrws--- 1002 1002
/dev/socket/qmux_gps drwxrws--- 1021 gps
/dev/socket/qmux_radio drwxrws--- 1001 radio
