  evolution-data-server consumes massive amounts of memory, invokes OOM
  killer

  This is a typical profile for evolution-data-server when I notice a
  memory shortage:

  iid=OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_DataServer_CalFactory:1.2 --oaf-ior-fd=36

  The oom-killer has been invoked on this system 30 times in the past
  few weeks (usually killing chromium). Bug 305428 describes a similar
  phenomenon.

  I suspect this is related to importing calendar events from Google
  Calendar, especially in light of the Debian bug report at
  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=462664
