Bug description:
  Binary package hint: bash

  Under certain circumstances hitting the tab key during a bash history
  search using ctrl-r will result in an infinite loop of bash printing
  "bash: COMP_WORDS: bad array subscript"

  Release information:
  Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, both server and desktop.

  To reproduce:
  Enter on a command line:
  dpkg --get-selections<enter>
  Type control-r. Type dp. You'll see the previously entered command. Hit the tab key. The errors will begin printing.
