Bug description:
  Seems for a few days some of the core apps which use qtmultimedia now
  fail to start on the desktop with output like this:-

  ⟫ qmlscene music-app.qml
  unity::action::ActionManager::ActionManager(QObject*):
          Could not determine application identifier. HUD will not work properly.
          Provide your application identifier in $APP_ID environment variable.

  type 'GstFormat'

  (qmlscene:25234): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion
  'result != 0' failed
