  [sidestage] Window animations not smooth, some flickering

Bug description:
  Mostly from bug: 1274688

  kgunn: i'm convinced the flickering might have something to do with
  the snapshotting to get the "running app" image for the dash. however,
  there's also seems to be a timing issue

  Side stage app switching does not appear smooth. Even with 1 side
  stage app open, doing right edge swipe and releasing the "restore"
  animation does not finish smoothly.

  Left edge swipe especially not smooth. Are frames being dropped during
  snapshotting?
