  vt switching regularly makes unity8-desktop-session-mir hang

Bug description:
  When I switch between my unity8-desktop-session-mir and the virtual
  terminal via e.g. ctrl-alt-f1 I frequently get into a situation where
  the system hangs and I can only ssh into it but switching to the VT
  does not work anymore and switching back to MIR neither.

  Sorry that this is not very specific, I don't see anything in dmesg
  that looks wrong. It might be a issue with my gfx card support (ATI
  radeon). If there is anything (like logs) you need please let me know.
  If this is the wrong component please reassign.
