unity8-dash.log as well please. I suspect this to be a duplicate of bug
#1362619.

Please if this happens again clear /var/crash and `pkill -SIGSEGV
unity8-dash` and `apport-collect -p unity8` the resulting .crash file.
This way we might be able to see where it deadlocked.

  mako image 22 rtm.
  unity8 8.00+14.10.20140827.2-0ubuntu1

  Sometimes when I reboot my phone, unity8-dash does not start. It just
  shows the starting animation.
