The mentioned bug was fixed and ubuntu-standard doesn't depend or
recommend w3m, so I don't think this bug is relevant anymore.

Title:

Status in “ubuntu-meta” package in Ubuntu:
Opinion
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubuntu-standard
Considering bug 589203 and bug 523229 - would it be worth to switch to
lynx (or another browser that doesn't have that issue for that matter)
?
