This is fixed in kernel 3.8. Ubuntu 14.04 "Trusty Tahr" is using the
3.13 kernel.

  skype [AOA150, Realtek ALC268, Mic, Internal] No sound at all

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  acer aspireOne AOA150 - internal mic not works with skype. If you open
  the pulse audio sound settings -> go to the tab configuration -> set
  the sound to disabled and then to analoge stereo dublex again, the
  internal mic works for 3-5 seconds and then stops like to turn of a
  button.
