Title:
unlock_greeter uses retries to work around unlocking failures under
heavy load
Status in “unity8” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
The unlock_greeter helper uses retries to work around potential issues
when unlocking the greeter under heavy load (e.g. on startup).
The gesture being recognized needs to be relatively smooth for it to
be accepted, and heavy load sometimes results in input not being
delivered in a timely manner, resulting in the gesture being rejected.
We should look at potentially improving that situation - especially
when having split the greeter out from the shell.
