Title:
when entering the recipient number after the text, the send button is
  not enabled

Status in Messaging App:
  Confirmed
Status in “messaging-app” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  1. launch the messaging app
  2. swipe the New Chat page from the bottom.
  3. Enter the text message on the bottom text field.
  4. Enter the recipient phone number.
  5. Click send
At this point, the send button is still disabled so the message won't be send. It's not clear what you have to do in order to enable the button.

If you click the message text field, it will be enabled, but I think
you should be able to send the message just after entering the number.
