  Connecting to the location service sometimes freezes

Status in QML plugin for Scopes:
  In Progress
Status in “unity-scopes-shell” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  This leads to unity8 freezing

  1) This shouldn't be freezing (presumably the service is not responding for some reason)
  2) We should do this on a background thread.
