Status in “unity-system-compositor” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Phone (N4) spontaneously turns on (eg. at 01:04 AM) and displays an
  unresponsive greeter until the battery dies (or phone is rebooted).
  System log is full of complaints about apport being unable to report
  on a .crash file, and networking appears to be disabled (but adb-shell
  still works).

  I caught the phone in the act, rebooted, and used apport-bug to file
  this bug on the .crash file.
