  Device hangs on google or bq screen for too long on upgrade

Status in “system-image” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  On upgrade from 14.09 r1 to r2 the device hung for so long on the bq
  screen that I thought it had crashed. Eventually it came back.

  Expected behavior:
  Don't get stuck on a screen without any progress indication.
