The failures were found to be due to the media-hub bug mentioned in

  To reproduce

  With the virgin image (i.e. no Mir 0.8.0) :

  -flash your device with the latest image from ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-
  rtm/14.09-proposed and run U8 AP tests:

  To install Mir 0.8.0 on your device :
  - add the following line to your sources file and do apt-get update

  deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ci-train-ppa-service/landing-020/ubuntu-
  rtm 14.09 main

  - then do :

  sudo apt-get install libmirclient8 libmirclient8driver-android
  libmircommon2 libmirplatform3 libmirplatform3driver-android
  libmirserver26 libubuntu-application-api2 libubuntu-location-service2
  libubuntu-platform-hardware-api2 mir-demos mir-test-tools mir-utils
  qtdeclarative5-qtmir-plugin qtmir-android ubuntu-application-
  api2-touch ubuntu-location-service-bin unity-system-compositor unity-
