A segfault is a bug. Unfortunately I can not reproduce it on my 14.04
system.

Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  # apt-mark hold acpid
  acpid set on hold.

  And one more
  # apt-mark hold acpid
  acpid was already set on hold.
  Segmentation fault (core dumped)
