Title:
[AO722, Conexant CX20588, Mic, Internal] Internal microphone doesn't
work
Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
This bug is related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-
driver/+bug/1245020 with fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04. The previous
workaround does not work. The input tab of Sound Settings has two
inputs (1) Analog Input - built-in audio and (2) Internal microphone
-built-in audio. Neither of them work.
using alsamixer to toggle the input source back and forth from
Internal Microphone to something else (mic or mic 1) and back to
Internal microphone temporarily works. However this fix is not
permanent. The internal microphone stops working after a while or
after a restart.
Thanks
