Title:
Mobile broadband fails to automatically connect

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I have a single Mobile Broadband adapter set up in Network Manager on
Kubuntu 13.10. Under the General tab on "Edit Connection" for that
adapter the "Automatically connect to this network when it is
available" box is ticked. Whenever the adapter is connected it does
not connect automatically, instead I have to click NM in the system
tray, and then select the adapter from under "Previous connections",
then click "Connect". Connection is then made successfully.

Adapter is a Huawei E156G, on the Three UK network.
