After further investigations, I'm pretty sure that we see a race for
graphics buffers here, which ultimately makes the entire UI stuck and
prevents the location-service to issue a trust prompt (as it requires U8
for that). I'm happy to reopen, but the entire UI hanging at times
points to a way deeper issue. Marking incomplete.

Bug description:
  Using the rtm-40 image on krillin (but it was already doing it with
  the previous versions of the image), often when running the camera-app
  the image shows for a few seconds, then the view/UI freezes for 15 to
  30 seconds, then it unblocks and work normally...
