Title:
does not log that there are no usable connections
Status in “whoopsie” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
Looking at my /var/log/upstart/whoopsie.log I saw the following. My
wifi connection was disabled, however I had cellular and data
connectivity. Notice that whoopsie just says that it is offline and
cannot reach daisy.ubuntu.com, while it should indicate what the
default route is and that it is a paid data plan.
[08:32:11] Using lock path: /var/lock/whoopsie/lock
[08:32:11] offline
[08:32:15] offline
[08:32:21] Cannot reach: https://daisy.ubuntu.com
...
[08:33:07] Not online; processing later (/var/crash/_usr_bin_mtp-server.32011.crash).
[08:33:07] Not online; processing later (/var/crash/_usr_bin_mtp-server.32011.crash).
...
This appeared after I enabled my wifi connection.
[08:52:14] The default IPv4 route is: /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/1
[08:52:14] Not a paid data plan: /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/1
[08:52:14] Found usable connection: /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/1
[08:52:14] offline
[08:52:14] online
