[Bug 1387268] Re: [regression] Cannot download files from the browser on devices

** Summary changed:

- [regression] Cannot download files from the browser
+ [regression] Cannot download files from the browser on devices

** Description changed:

  Since version 0.23+14.10.20141015.1-0ubuntu1 which included a fix for
  bug #1365993, it is impossible to download files from the browser in the
  utopic images (RTM images are not affected).

  This is due to the version discrepancy of qtdeclarative5-ubuntu-
  download-manager0.1.

  On utopic:

  $ apt-cache policy qtdeclarative5-ubuntu-download-manager0.1
  qtdeclarative5-ubuntu-download-manager0.1:
-   Installed: 0.8+14.10.20140916-0ubuntu1
-   Candidate: 0.8+14.10.20140916-0ubuntu1

  On RTM:

  $ apt-cache policy qtdeclarative5-ubuntu-download-manager0.1
  qtdeclarative5-ubuntu-download-manager0.1:
-   Installed: 0.9+14.10.20141014.1-0ubuntu1

+         100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  I’m reporting the bug against webbrowser-app, as it’s what appears not
  to work, but the fix really is to backport a more recent qtdeclarative5
  -ubuntu-download-manager0.1 to utopic/vivid.
+
+ Note: this code path affects devices only, not the desktop. So fixing it
+ in vivid is sufficient, as utopic images won’t be supported as soon as
+ vivid images are out.
