[Bug 1388650] Re: package util-linux 2.25.1-3ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

 

Further to this, the root cause appears to be the Cisco anyconnect client installation. See http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=53192
Manually getting rid of the files referred to in that post solve the "hung state" problem for me, and the upgrade now appears to be proceeding correctly.
