14.04 upgraded from 12.04: at some point this problem started. I could
not apply #6 or #11 because it would not allow me to delete
"activity.squile" file (not even as sudo) . But I could move, however,
the whole directory  zeitgeist to zeitgeist.0 and that did the trick.

  lock to launcher / unlock from launcher not working...

Bug description:
  When I either click on "Lock to Launcher" or "Unlock from Launcher"
  nothing happens.

  Steps Taken:

  - reinstall unity / ubuntu-desktop
  - reset unity icons

  Other Info:

  The only way I'm able to change the icons currently is manually
  through "gconf" which often requires me to logout and login to take
  effect.
