[Bug 1320990] Re: [xorg-edgers] BOINC can't find CUDA driver with xorg-edgers packages

Thanks to carlesa25's last post on this thread - https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/734098/linux/-boinc-ubuntu-nvidia-no-usable-gpus-found-/. ..
I found that installing the nvidia-modprobe results in BOINC detecking GPUs again.

I'm not entirely sure why this works - AFAICT the modules we're being
built fine before this.

@birdstream does this work for you as well?

Title:
[xorg-edgers] BOINC can't find CUDA driver with xorg-edgers packages

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Running Ubuntu 14.04 with Xorg Edgers and a Geforce 750 Ti.
Installed nvidia-337,-dev,-uvm, libcuda1-337. With these packages
from xorg-edgers everything graphical/game/etc wise runs perfectly,
  except for CUDA though BOINC.

When installed directly from nvidia's website CUDA worked fine in
  BOINC.

Now BOINC just says missing GPU type NVIDIA (generally it looks for
CUDA, but OpenCL doesn't appear to work either).

I have not had it working on any previous version of xorg-edgers (just
  got the GPU recently).
