  gdb freezes while executing a "next" command

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gdb

  I'm debugging an OpenGL application. Very frequently, when it's stopped at a breakpoint and I run "next", gdb freezes. In some places, this happens every single time, making debugging impossible.
  It ignores Ctrl-C, Ctrl-Z, and Ctrl-\ - I have to kill it from a different terminal.

  This also causes Xorg to freeze. I filed a related bug: 316240
