[Bug 1092127] Re: gdb crashed with SIGABRT in dump_core()
closing this rather old issue. sorry for not addressing this earlier.
Please could you recheck with the recent 14.04 LTS or 14.10 releases and
reopen the issue if the problem persists?

I was receiving data from a gdbserver running inside a qemu VM, when
the client gdb threw the following error:
/build/buildd/gdb-7.5/gdb/findvar.c:176: internal-error: extract_typed_address: type is not a pointer or reference
