[Bug 360650] Re: gdb crashed with SIGSEGV in print_longest()

closing this rather old issue. sorry for not addressing this earlier.
Please could you recheck with the recent 14.04 LTS or 14.10 releases and
reopen the issue if the problem persists?

Title:
gdb crashed with SIGSEGV in print_longest()

Status in “gdb” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gdb

The bug reporting applet kicked off after I rebooted, after updating
the system in an attempt to resolve the issue that was affecting cp
(which was being called by the upgrade of base-packages). It might
have been a latent report, generated prior to the updates I installed
manually; I am not sure how your bug reporting/information collection
  works.

I just tried using gdb, it appears fine, so my guess is this was an
issue prior to all of the updates I applied today.
