[Bug 292702] Re: Use of uninitialized value $x in scalar assignment at /usr/share/perl/5.10/utf8_heavy.pl
Hardy has seen the end of its life and is no longer receiving any
updates. Marking the Hardy task for this ticket as "Won't Fix".

on a system without perl / perl-modules (only with perl-base) such as minimal virtual machine as created by ubuntu-vm-builder:
% perl -e 'use warnings "all"; chr(hex(323)) =~ /\p{IsAlpha}/'
