The package openprinting-ppds does not contain a single ppd! Downloading
via a questionable script by http is as unsafe as downloading by hand.
Moreover it is not suitable for offline use. Sorry I can not use that
package as long as ppds + scripts are not included.

  Printer Driver: Brother MFC9840CDW Foomatic/Postscript (color, 2-sided printing)
  Result when printing a page is plain text output like the following
  "%!PS-Adobe-3.0
    %Produced by poppler ..."
  followed by many form feeds.
  possible cause: The printer driver fails to initilize the printer with the right control sequence.
