Title:
Maverick regressed support for C-Media/Plantronics USB headset
Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I have a USB headset whose vendor is listed as C-Media in software but the hardware has a name "Plantronics" on it. lsusb shows it as:
Bus 001 Device 061: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter
Under Lucid, this device was selectable in Sound Preferences as the
input and output audio device, and the device worked.
Under Maverick, the Hardware tab lists the device, but clicking Test
Speakers crashes Sound Preferences and the Input and Output tabs don't
list the device.
