  'make distcheck' fails

Bug description:
  Running 'make distcheck' in the Nux top level directory fails because
  of missing files in the tarball and cleanup failures due to typos in
  Makefile.am's and cruft left over from testing.

  This is in current trunk lp:nux r775.
