Title:
roaming wireless network interfaces don't work after resume
Status in pm-utils package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: pm-utils
I'm using the wireless network on my Thinkpad T60 with the
wpa_supplicant in roaming mode
(/usr/share/doc/wpasupplicant/README.modes.gz, Mode #2). I DON'T use
Network-Manager! I configure my interface directly in
/etc/network/interfaces.
Whenever I suspend&resume, the wireless lan doesn't reassociate. This
is because wpa_supplicant and wpa_cli are not started for the
interface.
I solved this problem by calling "wpa_action eth1 stop" at suspend and
"ifup eth1" at resume. See attached script, placed in /etc/pm/sleep.d/
