[Bug 12720] Re: vertical scroll needs time

nanophase, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg 12720

Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes
button for attaching additional debugging information.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  vertical scroll needs time

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
..when starting up X, it just doesn't work. After a time I use X the scrolling
starts working. I managed to get it work once after like 3 seconds, I was
tapping at the upper right corner, seems that turns it on (sometimes, or just
  coincidence).
          Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
          Option "SHMConfig" "on"
          Option "RightEdge" "5980"
          Option "BottomEdge" "4300"
          Option "CircularScrolling" "1"
          Option "RTCornerButton" "3"
          Option "RBCornerButton" "2"
          Option "CircScrollTrigger" "3"
this is what I use, I can live with it but someone may have a clue.
Just for info, there is a new driver (0.14) available with many new features,
  upgrade is actually recommended.
  (I use the hoary version)

  regards,
  nanophase
