Title:
LibreOffice windows appear off-screen and/or under Unity panel
Status in Unity:
Confirmed
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
LibreOffice windows that stretch from the bottom of the top panel to
the bottom of the screen appear partially off-screen when the program
is opened, either under the top panel or with the bottom part of the
window slightly cut off at the bottom.
On my computer (Ubuntu 14.04, Unity 7.2.2) those opened an the top
workspaces (or if multiple workspaces are turned off) appear with the
bottom part off-screen, while those opened on the bottom workspaces
appear under the top panel.
But it's not totally consistent: Writer does this, but Calc and Draw
open off-screen to the bottom on both the upper and lower desktops.
Sometimes the first window opens totally on screen, but as soon as
another window is opened, it will be off-screen.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a LibreOffice application (Writer, Calc, etc.) and make it so that it's not maximized, then throw it to one side (or extend the window up to the panel) so that it stretches from the bottom of the top panel to the bottom of the screen.
2. Close LibreOffice.
3. Open LibreOffice again and see that the window is slightly off-screen to the bottom or under the panel.
4. If it is totally on screen, open a new window, which will always be off-screen.
Attached is a screenshot of LibreOffice Writer after the launcher icon
is clicked from the top left workspace.
