Title:
  Atheros 242X e avahi aemon

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After a week trying to make my wireless card work on my Acer Aspirer 4520-5074 i finally made it work on Hardy Heron 64 bits using ndiswrapper and wixp 64 bits driver.
I installed via apt the wicd and i could connect to my home network using WPA2 encryptation.

Everything was working normally untill i turn off my computer. Asa i
turn it on again i couldnt use my wireless again, when i execute
ifconfig its shows a new interface wlan0:avahi with ip and my wlan0
interface without ip and using ipv6 protocol. So i cant use it, if i
try to sudo ip kink set wlan0:avahi down, it also downs my wlan0 and
if i bring it up again, wlan0:avahi appears again.

After read a lot of post about this issue, i disabled the avahi-daemon
from Services menu and also changed AVAHI_DAEMON_SET_LOCAL to 0 under
/etc/default/avahi-daemon. And it didnt work i still have this new
interface wlan0:avahi showing when i execute ifconfig. Even showing
this new interface, i can normally scan wireless networks but even if
i set the ip manually, it doesnt work.
